Azhar Ali played a match-winning knock as G Force Cricket Academy posted a three-wicket victory over My Perfumes in the Group C of the One Stop Tourism 43rd Bukhatir Premier League at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

Needing 248 to win, G Force Academy did not have the best of the starts losing a wicket early on. But Imran Nazir and Hrithik Bhatia came together to share 56 runs for the second wicket to put G Force Academy back on track.

Nazir faced 29 balls to score 39 consisting of two boundaries and a six while Bhatia hit a 25-ball 32 supported by three sixes.

But a couple of wickets did put G Force Academy in trouble before Azhar Gul and Clive Oswald Alfonso took complete control of the match.

The duo milked together 95 runs for the fifth wicket to ensure G Force Academy inched closer to the victory line. Alfonso perished after scoring a patient 40 from 50 balls including a boundary and a six while Gul remained unbeaten on 85 from 97 balls peppered with six boundaries and a six as G Force Academy overhauled the target in 41.3 overs.

For My Perfumes, Leon Carlo and Amit Kapoor claimed two wickets each.

Earlier, winning the toss and opting to bat first, My Perfumes opener blasted a superb 55-ball 88 studded with 11 hits to the fence and four over it to give My Perfumes a fine start. He shared a superb 87-run stand with Naeemuddin Aslam for the second wicket. Aslam faced 65 balls to hit 52 supported by four boundaries.

Sohail Bilal (25) and Nigel Rodrigues (27) chipped in with crucial contributions as My Perfumes made 247 before being all out in 46.5 overs.

R Narayan was the successful bowler for G Force Cricket Academy claiming four wickets while Imran Nazir scalped two.
