Jamil Aslam smashed a fantastic century as UCT secured a comfortable nine-wicket victory over Sealine Tuskers in the 24th Sharjah Invitation T20 Tournament. The tournament is organized by Sharjah Cricket Council.

Winning the toss and opting to bat first, openers Ashfaq Ahmed and Zeeshan got off to a rousing start. Ashfaq fired two boundaries and as many sixes to smash 26 from just 14 deliveries while Zeeshan faced 44 deliveries to hit a power-packed 67 consisting of six boundaries and four sixes.

Akash Devkumar remained unbeaten on 39 from 53 deliveries while Fahad Janjua chipped in with 12 as Sealine Tuskers amassed 157 for five in 20 overs.

For UCT, Altaf Muhammad and Faisal Mustafa claimed two wickets each.

Chasing a challenging target, UCT opener Jameel Aslam took it upon himself to ensure to guide his team past the target in only the 16th over.

Jameel Aslam cracked 107 from just 40 deliveries laced with eight hits to the fence and 10 over it.

Ali Akbar remained unbeaten on 41 from 27 balls with the help of six boundaries as UCT scored 158 for one in 15.3 overs.
