Royal Cricket Academy secured a comfortable seven-wicket victory over UCT in the 24th Sharjah Invitation T20 Tournament. The tournament is organized by Sharjah Cricket Council.

Batting first, UCT batting was a complete failure with none of the top order showing any resistance. Shiraz Khan and Shezan Waqar reached double figures scoring an identical 11. Things looked bleak for UCT but still managed to cross the three-digit mark thanks to a late fight back from Mohsin Rahman and Surinder Kumar. While Mohsin hit a 13-ball 25 including three boundaries and a six, Surinder fired hit 14 as UCT achieved 119 in 18.2 overs.

For Royal Cricket Academy, Fazal Munawar was the wrecker in chief as he scalped four wickets in his 3.2 overs giving away 10 runs.

Chasing a relatively easier target, opener Ashan Abbas gave a quick start hitting a 22-ball 25 including three boundaries before Salah Shakeel fired a 33-ball 47 supported by six fours to wrap the innings in only 16 overs. Umair bin Maqsood remained unbeaten on 19 from 21 balls.
