Sandeep Singh smashed an unbeaten century as Al Massa Contracting posted a huge 67-run victory over Sealine Defenders in the Sharjah Summer Cup 2017 organized by Sharjah Cricket Club.

Opting to bat first after winning the toss at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, openers Zaheer Ahmed (24, 23b, 4×4) and Rizwan Ahmed (12, 19b, 1×4) gave a quick start with a 54-run stand in just 6.2 overs.

But the storm came in the form of Sandeep Singh who looked aggressive from the word go. He mainly scored through boundaries and sixes as he made merry during his stay in the middle.

His 54-ball innings saw him score 114 runs via sixes and fours (9 fours and 13 sixes) as he hammered an unbeaten 136.

He was accompanied by Mohammad Ahsan who fired a 24-ball 66 supported by three boundaries and seven sixes as Al Massa Contracting amassed 262 for three in 20 overs.

For Sealine Defenders, Muhammad Tauqeer picked two wickets in his four overs.

Chasing an imposing target, Sealine Defenders showed equal aggression as opener Ashfaq Ahmed smashed a 22-ball 50 containing five fours and four sixes.

A couple of wickets fell in quick succession before Rizwan Amanat and Farrukh Kazmi again revived the hopes. While Rizwan Amanat hit a 21-ball 41 consisting of three boundaries and as many sixes, Farrukh Kazmi scored a 22-ball 42 with the help of five fours and two sixes as Sealine Defenders managed only 198 for eight in 20 overs.

Nabil was the wrecker in chief claiming four wickets in his four overs while Zahir Ahmed earned two.
