Syed Maqsood was unlucky to miss out on a deserving century by just four runs but his knock was good enough to hand United Bank Limited a convincing eight-wicket win over My Perfumes in the Group C of the One Stop Tourism 43rd Bukhatir Premier League at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium organized by the Sharjah Cricket Council.

Opting to bat first after winning the toss at the Sharjah Cricket Staidum, My Perfumes opener Farrukh Kazmi hit a 20-ball 24 to give his team a steady start.

Naeemuddin Aslam and Nashwan Nasir put on an impressive half century stand for the third wicket to boost the total before the former fell for 35 from
32 balls consisting of three boundaries and a six.

Nasir scored a steady 31 facing 53 balls supported by four boundaries.

Sohail Bilal chipped in with a 49-ball 21 while none of the other batsmen lower the order came good as My Perfumes were shot out for a meager 148 in
40.4 overs.

Mohammad Boota was the pick of the bowlers scalping four wickets in his 5.4 overs giving away only 16 runs while Zaheer Maqsood claimed three in his eight overs.

Chasing a modest target, UBL saw only their first wicket fall early but thereafter Syed Maqsood and Babar Hussain took total charge of the innings to come up with a superb 93-run association to guide UBL home in just 17 overs to win by eight wickets.

Maqsood was at his aggressive best as he pummeled 96 from only 43 balls finding the ropes on 12 occasions and seven times over it.

Babar Hussain scored an unbeaten 32 from 44 balls containing five boundaries.
