Sharjah, UAE — April 12, 2024 — The highly anticipated Cup Finals of the 35th Edition of the Sharjah Ramadan T20 League culminated in an exhilarating match at the iconic Sharjah Cricket Stadium, where Pacific Star Sports emerged victorious over Seven Districts by 6 wickets. The match showcased exceptional cricketing prowess and sportsmanship, solidifying Pacific Star Sports dominance in the UAE domestic circuit.
Pacific Star Sports, led by Muhammed Waseem, UAE team Captain, delivered a stellar all-round performance to secure the championship. Waseem was rightfully named Player of the Final for his pivotal contributions, claiming 2 wickets with an economy rate of 5.00 and scoring a crucial 28 runs.
Winning the toss and opting to field first, Pacific Star Sports displayed a remarkable bowling performance, limiting Seven Districts to a mere 103 runs all out in 19.2 overs. Zuhaib Zubair shone with the ball, scalping 4 wickets, while Saqib Manshad and Waseem complemented with 2 wickets each. Affaq Shahid was the lone standout for Seven Districts, scoring an unbeaten 44 runs amidst a challenging batting display by his teammates.
In pursuit of 104 runs for victory, Pacific Star Sports began their innings cautiously, with Hamdan Tahir and Jiju Janardhanan setting a solid foundation with an opening partnership of 35 runs. Jiju contributed 22 runs, while Fayyaz Ahmed remained unbeaten at 21 runs, guiding their team to a comprehensive victory.

Hamdan Tahir claimed the title of Seven Districts Orange Cap – Best Batter for his impressive tally of 252 runs in 6 matches at an average of 42, while Zuhaib Zubair was recognized as the Seven Districts Purple Cap – Best Bowler, amassing 16 wickets in 5 matches and Muhammed Waseem was the player of the final.
